Understanding the Bible isn’t for the few, the gifted, the scholarly. The Bible is accessible. It’s meant to be read and comprehended by everyone from armchair readers to seminary students. A few essential insights into the Bible can clear up a lot of misconceptions and help you grasp the meaning of Scripture and its application to your life.

The Book of Philippians for High Schoolers

This class will take you on a journey through the book of Philippians. Join us and discover Paul’s words describing his joy in Christ through all situations. You will deepen your understanding of the bible and learn real life applications. No study materials needed, with the exception of a bible. Bibles will be provided if needed.

Single and Parenting

If you’re a single parent, you’re probably tired, overwhelmed and feeling a bit under-appreciated. Eastern Hills has a desire to help and support you through this journey. In this class you will learn  tips and parenting wisdom that will help you find rest, hope and encouragement.

Starting Point is an 11-week exploration of the Bible’s grand story and where you fit into it. You will be part of a conversational small group environment where you can explore faith and experience community.

Financial Peace

Financial Peace offers biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be financially. Through video teaching, class discussion and interactive small group activities you are shown how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely. Gender

There is a lot of discussion and controversy these days regarding issues of gender.  This class will attempt to step back and take a look at what the scriptures say about gender, its origin and meaning, so as to perhaps  find our way through the controversy.

Solaire is a group of moms from Syracuse, Fayetteville-Manlius, Cazenovia and beyond who gather together for encouragement, community and to share our ups and downs of motherhood and womanhood. Solaire welcomes moms with children of all ages to join us for good food and conversation on the first and third Wednesdays of the month following the F-M school calendar. Childcare is provided by a background checked, paid staff of childcare workers.

Daniel : Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy - A Beth Moore Study

This Old Testament bible study deals with Daniel’s life as he faced the same pressures and temptations Christians encounter today. Learn how Daniel developed enduring integrity in an enticing world.  We will also explore thrilling prophecies from the time of Daniel through the second coming of Christ.

How to Be a SUPER Mom Without Being Supermom

So many expectations are placed on today’s moms about what it means to be a “good” mother and so much time spent into trying to meet those expectations that motherhood often becomes a burden to endure and not a blessing to enjoy. Using scripture as its foundation this class will look at some of the challenges of being a mother and provide a venue for discussing and learning from each other ways to best meet those challenged without the pressure of trying to do it perfectly.

A Cry for Revival!

As the world seems to be spiraling downward, it is natural to cry out for change. Instead of crying out however, participants will be challenged to cry UP to God. Following the wisdom outlined in the book “One Cry,” the class will focus on how to effectively pray for spiritual awakening
and revival. Solidly based on scripture, the group will also examine the need for and the path to personal revival. Come and enjoy a refreshing and deepening of your walk with God!

Divorce Care

Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced.  It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you’ve never faced before.  Divorce Care meets weekly to help you face challenges and move towards rebuilding your life through seminars with experts and a support group focus.

11TH ANNUAL MEN’S CAMPING TRIP• SEPTEMBER 15TH-17TH

Join us for a chance to get away, relax, enjoy the outdoors, make new friends, and laugh around the campfire. There will be many outdoor activities, such as, hiking, paddling and fishing (license is needed.)  We will be camping at Nick’s Lake NYS Campground in the Adirondacks. $40 suggested donation includes food and beverages. The True Pursuit weekend in Waymart, Pennsylvania, is open to all men 18 and older. Many of the men who have attended this retreat have said it is one of the most powerful and life changing events they have ever attended.  The weekend is especially for men who are asking themselves “ What am I here for? Do I have what it takes? Am I experiencing the freedom and restoration that Jesus offers?”
